Paper visual artist Ching Kai handcrafted table centrepiece for Macallan House, Raffles Hotel, Singapore

The opening of Macallan House at Raffles Hotel, Singapore, featured a collaborative display of local artistry, organised by Directions Group Inc. The event showcased a paper installation by Ching Kai, inspired by Scotland's River Spey, with carefully selected food dyes and food-grade paper used to craft vibrant landscapes as centrepieces for selected tables. This choice of materials allowed for an experimental approach, as edible art created by pastry chefs Kenneth Seah and Elena Perez de Carrasco was served within the installation.
